Finding the lesbian leak at the Louvre

Performance and slideshow,  30 minutes, 2015.
The deadline for submission has passed, District, Berlin, as part of Project Space Festival Berlin.

Focusing on strategies related to gesture, language, failure, presence and absence, Line Skywalker Karlström’s performative, semi-improvised installations
emerge from material, historical, spatial and discursive explorations of what it means ‘to think with the body'. On the evening, she contributes a performative presentation of her current research under the working title Finding the Lesbian Leak at the Louvre. Looking for physical gestures, she chooses to name and read as subversive, queer or lesbian, Karlström gathers a subjective archive of photographic details of 16th and 17th century paintings representing female persons.

Fists are tools for collective pleasure and fighting

Photography, part of series, 2015

The distance between the language and my tongue.
The distance between my mother and me.
Empty hands, fists, wrists.
Gestures of resistance and queer desire.
Fists are tools for collective pleasure and fighting.

Performance, 30 minuter, 2014

Ind i det kollektive organ,
ind i din krop i fragment,
